UMO

The EEG system used in Neurofeedback sessions

UMO records the electrical activity of the brain through sensors placed on the scalp. The EEG signal is transferred to the software & used to provide real-time visual or auditory feedback.

The sensors record the signal. They do not provide electrical stimulation to the brain.

How is it used in the session?

The person watches a video, listens to sounds, or interacts with a game. The image, sound, or game progression changes depending on the EEG characteristics selected for training.

Thus, he receives immediate feedback on his brain activity. Through repetition, the process supports the training of self-regulation.

Personalized training

At the Athens Neurotraining Center, the use of UMO is part of an EEG Neurofeedback program designed after qEEG Brain Mapping.

The qEEG data is considered in conjunction with the individual's history, daily functioning, and goals. Based on this, recording locations and training parameters are selected. During the sessions, the signal quality and the individual's response are monitored so that the program can be adjusted where necessary.

What the training aims to achieve

Depending on individual goals, training may focus on maintaining attention, regulating arousal level & responding to the demands of everyday life.

The choice of goal & the course of training vary from person to person. UMO provides the recording & feedback used in the session; it does not in itself guarantee a specific result.
